SUMMER IN SKAGIT
A FLORAL DESIGN SHOW JUNE 2O & 21 ST
AT THE SKAGIT COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS
EMPHASIS RED, WHITE & BLUE CELEBRATING THE 250 BIRTHDAY OF THE USA
ALL PLANT MATERIAL UTILIZED MUST BE FRESH UNLESS EXCEPTION STATED
SECTION 1. “SUMMER IN SKAGIT” - (BEGINNERS ) A traditional design to be staged on a table
space of 24” wide and 30” deep which has a light gray covering; designer to provide a staging
panel behind design.
SECTION 2. “A RIVER RUNS THRU IT” - (AMATEURS) A creative duo design (two designs related
and linked together) To be staged on a table space of 24” wide and 30”deep which has a light
gray covering; Designer to provide a staging panel behind the design.
SECTION 3. “ROW ROW YOUR BOAT” – (BEGINNERS) A creative horizontal design to be staged on
a table space of 24” wide and 30” deep which has a light gray covering; Designer to provide a
staging panel behind the design.
SECTION 4. “A RAGING RIVER” – (ADVANCED) A creative design showing much movement to be
staged on a 18” round pedestal 30” high; Black; viewed from all sides.
SECTION 5. “PICNIC BY THE SHORE” - (ADVANCED) A functional table set for 2 Alfresco (dining
outdoors) Staged on a card table; will need table covering.
SECTION 6. “DRIFTING ALONG” - (AMATEURS) A creative design using wood in a creative
manner indicating movement; staged on a pedestal 24” high and 12” diameter; must provide
covering for round.
REGISTRATION REQUIRED
SET UP June 20th between 7:30am-9:30am ; Judging at 10am

DEFINITIONS
Beginner – No blue ribbons
Amateur – 3 or less blue ribbons
Advanced – 4 blue ribbons or more
Staging panel – a 2 or 3 dimensional upright surface placed behind or around the design in order to enhance it.
